  • In midautumn* of the second year of King Darius's reign, the LORD gave this message to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah and grandson of Iddo.1 - Zechariah 1:1


  • Then on February 15* of the second year of King Darius's reign, the LORD sent another message to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah and grandson of Iddo. Zechariah said:2 - Zechariah 1:7


  • When Jeroboam II died, he was buried with his ancestors, the kings of Israel. Then his son Zechariah became the next king. - 2 Kings 14:29


  • Zechariah son of Jeroboam II began to rule over Israel in the thirty-eighth year of King Uzziah's reign in Judah. He reigned in Samaria six months. - 2 Kings 15:8


  • Zechariah did what was evil in the LORD's sight, as his ancestors had done. He refused to turn from the sins of idolatry that Jeroboam son of Nebat had led Israel to commit. - 2 Kings 15:9


  • Then Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah, assassinated him in public,* and became the next king.3 - 2 Kings 15:10

  • He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother was Abijah,* the daughter of Zechariah.1 - 2 Kings 18:2


  • Beerah's relatives are listed in their genealogy by their clans: Jeiel (the leader), Zechariah, - 1 Chronicles 5:7


  • Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah,*4 - 1 Chronicles 8:31


  • And later Zechariah son of Meshelemiah had been responsible for guarding the entrance to the Tabernacle.*2 - 1 Chronicles 9:21


  • Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth. - 1 Chronicles 9:37


  • The following men were chosen as their assistants: Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and the gatekeepers, Obed-edom and Jeiel. - 1 Chronicles 15:18


  • Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah were chosen to play the lyres.*3 - 1 Chronicles 15:20


  • Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer--all of whom were priests--were chosen to blow the trumpets as they marched in front of the Ark of God. Obed-edom and Jehiah were chosen to guard the Ark. - 1 Chronicles 15:24
