  • "There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!" - Proverbs 31:29

  • I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore by wisdom everything being done in the world. I soon discovered that God has dealt a tragic existence to the human race. - Ecclesiastes 1:13

  • After much thought, I decided to cheer myself with wine. While still seeking wisdom, I clutched at foolishness. In this way, I hoped to experience the only happiness most people find during their brief life in this world. - Ecclesiastes 2:3

  • I also noticed that throughout the world there is evil in the courtroom. Yes, even the courts of law are corrupt! - Ecclesiastes 3:16

  • Again I observed all the oppression that takes place in our world. I saw the tears of the oppressed, with no one to comfort them. The oppressors have great power, and the victims are helpless. - Ecclesiastes 4:1

  • And most fortunate of all are those who were never born. For they have never seen all the evil that is done in our world. - Ecclesiastes 4:3

  • I observed yet another example of meaninglessness in our world. - Ecclesiastes 4:7

  • There is another serious problem I have seen in the world. Riches are sometimes hoarded to the harm of the saver, - Ecclesiastes 5:13

  • And this, too, is a very serious problem. As people come into this world, so they depart. All their hard work is for nothing. They have been working for the wind, and everything will be swept away. - Ecclesiastes 5:16

  • There is another serious tragedy I have seen in our world. - Ecclesiastes 6:1

  • Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you in this world. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil. - Ecclesiastes 9:9

  • I have observed something else in this world of ours. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise are often poor, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being at the right place at the right time. - Ecclesiastes 9:11

  • Here is another bit of wisdom that has impressed me as I have watched the way our world works. - Ecclesiastes 9:13
