  • And if we have hope in Christ only for this life, we are the most miserable people in the world. - 1 Corinthians 15:19

  • So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, Adam, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man, Christ. - 1 Corinthians 15:21

  • You may be asking why I changed my plan. Hadn't I made up my mind yet? Or am I like people of the world who say yes when they really mean no? - 2 Corinthians 1:17

  • Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They don't understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. - 2 Corinthians 4:4

  • So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though he were merely a human being. How differently I think about him now! - 2 Corinthians 5:16

  • For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. - 2 Corinthians 5:19

  • As for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross,* my interest in this world died long ago, and the world's interest in me is also long dead.2 - Galatians 6:14

  • Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. - Ephesians 1:4

  • Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come. - Ephesians 1:21

  • You used to live just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. - Ephesians 2:2

  • In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from God's people, Israel, and you did not know the promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. - Ephesians 2:12
