(Read Words Part 1 First)

  • Words satisfy the soul as food satisfies the stomach; the right words on a person's lips bring satisfaction. - Proverbs 18:20

  • Listen to the words of the wise; apply your heart to my instruction. - Proverbs 22:17

  • You will vomit up the delicious food they serve, and you will have to take back your words of appreciation for their "kindness." - Proverbs 23:8

  • Commit yourself to instruction; attune your ears to hear words of knowledge. - Proverbs 23:12

  • A wise teacher's words spur students to action and emphasize important truths. The collected sayings of the wise are like guidance from a shepherd. - Ecclesiastes 12:11

  • And he said, "Yes, go. But tell my people this: `You will hear my words, but you will not understand. You will see what I do, but you will not perceive its meaning.' - Isaiah 6:9
