(Read Witness Part 1 First)

  • If a malicious witness comes forward and accuses someone of a crime, - Deuteronomy 19:16

  • "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live! - Deuteronomy 30:19

  • "Now write down the words of this song, and teach it to the people of Israel. Teach them to sing it, so it may serve as a witness against them. - Deuteronomy 31:19

  • "Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD your God, so it may serve as a witness against the people of Israel. - Deuteronomy 31:26

  • Now summon all the leaders and officials of your tribes so that I can speak to them and call heaven and earth to witness against them. - Deuteronomy 31:28

  • Then Boaz said to the leaders and to the crowd standing around, "You are witnesses that today I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelech, Kilion, and Mahlon. - Ruth 4:9

  • And with the land I have acquired Ruth, the Moabite widow of Mahlon, to be my wife. This way she can have a son to carry on the family name of her dead husband and to inherit the family property here in his hometown. You are all witnesses today." - Ruth 4:10

  • Then the leaders and all the people standing there replied, "We are witnesses! May the LORD make the woman who is now coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, from whom all the nation of Israel descended! May you be great in Ephrathah and famous in Bethlehem. - Ruth 4:11

  • "The LORD and his anointed one are my witnesses," Samuel declared, "that you can never accuse me of robbing you." "Yes, it is true," they replied. - 1 Samuel 12:5

  • And may the LORD make us keep our promises to each other, for he has witnessed them." - 1 Samuel 20:23

  • So now, with God as our witness, I give you this charge for all Israel, the LORD's assembly: Be careful to obey all the commands of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and leave it to your children as a permanent inheritance. - 1 Chronicles 28:8

  • Again and again you witness against me. You pour out an ever-increasing volume of anger upon me and bring fresh armies against me. - Job 10:17
