  • I have seen wicked people buried with honor. How strange that they were the very ones who frequented the Temple and are praised* in the very city where they committed their crimes!1 - Ecclesiastes 8:10

  • The wicked will never live long, good lives, for they do not fear God. Their days will never grow long like the evening shadows. - Ecclesiastes 8:13

  • And this is not all that is meaningless in our world. In this life, good people are often treated as though they were wicked, and wicked people are often treated as though they were good. This is so meaningless! - Ecclesiastes 8:14

  • The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether they are righteous or wicked, good or bad,* ceremonially clean or unclean, religious or irreligious. Good people receive the same treatment as sinners, and people who take oaths are treated like people who don't.1 - Ecclesiastes 9:2

  • Since fools base their thoughts on foolish premises, their conclusions will be wicked madness. - Ecclesiastes 10:13

  • Wash yourselves and be clean! Let me no longer see your evil deeds. Give up your wicked ways. - Isaiah 1:16

  • But say to the wicked, "Your destruction is sure. You, too, will get what you deserve. Your well-earned punishment is on the way." - Isaiah 3:11

  • They take bribes to pervert justice. They let the wicked go free while punishing the innocent. - Isaiah 5:23

  • That is why the Lord has no joy in the young men and no mercy on even the widows and orphans. For they are all hypocrites, speaking wickedness with lies. But even then the LORD's anger will not be satisfied. His fist is still poised to strike. - Isaiah 9:17

  • This wickedness is like a brushfire. It burns not only briers and thorns but the forests, too. Its burning sends up vast clouds of smoke. - Isaiah 9:18

  • He will defend the poor and the exploited. He will rule against the wicked and destroy them with the breath of his mouth. - Isaiah 11:4

  • "I, the LORD, will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin. I will crush the arrogance of the proud and the haughtiness of the mighty. - Isaiah 13:11

  • For the LORD has crushed your wicked power and broken your evil rule. - Isaiah 14:5

  • All night long I search for you; earnestly I seek for God. For only when you come to judge the earth will people turn from wickedness and do what is right. - Isaiah 26:9

  • Your kindness to the wicked does not make them do good. They keep doing wrong and take no notice of the LORD's majesty. - Isaiah 26:10

  • In his wisdom, the LORD will send great disaster; he will not change his mind. He will rise against those who are wicked, and he will crush their allies, too. - Isaiah 31:2

  • Therefore, my people, though you are such wicked rebels, come and return to the LORD. - Isaiah 31:6
