  • Remove the wicked from the king's court, and his reign will be made secure by justice. - Proverbs 25:5

  • When the wicked take charge, people hide. When the wicked meet disaster, the godly multiply. - Proverbs 28:28

  • When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan. - Proverbs 29:2

  • The godly know the rights of the poor; the wicked don't care to know. - Proverbs 29:7

  • If a ruler honors liars, all his advisers will be wicked. - Proverbs 29:12

  • When the wicked are in authority, sin increases. But the godly will live to see the tyrant's downfall. - Proverbs 29:16

  • The godly despise the wicked; the wicked despise the godly. - Proverbs 29:27

  • In this meaningless life, I have seen everything, including the fact that some good people die young and some wicked people live on and on. - Ecclesiastes 7:15

  • On the other hand, don't be too wicked either--don't be a fool! Why should you die before your time? - Ecclesiastes 7:17

  • I searched everywhere, determined to find wisdom and to understand the reason for things. I was determined to prove to myself that wickedness is stupid and that foolishness is madness. - Ecclesiastes 7:25

  • None of us can hold back our spirit from departing. None of us has the power to prevent the day of our death. There is no escaping that obligation, that dark battle. And in the face of death, wickedness will certainly not rescue those who practice it. - Ecclesiastes 8:8
