(Read Water Part 1 First)

  • "Please, sir," the woman said, "give me some of that water! Then I'll never be thirsty again, and I won't have to come here to haul water." - John 4:15

  • The woman left her water jar beside the well and went back to the village and told everyone, - John 4:28

  • In the course of his journey through Galilee, he arrived at the town of Cana, where he had turned the water into wine. There was a government official in the city of Capernaum whose son was very sick. - John 4:46

  • "I can't, sir," the sick man said, "for I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am trying to get there, someone else always gets in ahead of me." - John 5:7

  • They were three or four miles* out when suddenly they saw Jesus walking on the water toward the boat. They were terrified,3 - John 6:19

  • If you believe in me, come and drink! For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from within."*2 - John 7:38

  • (When he said "living water," he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.) - John 7:39

  • and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel he had around him. - John 13:5

  • One of the soldiers, however, pierced his side with a spear, and blood and water flowed out. - John 19:34

  • Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and swam ashore. - John 21:7

  • John baptized with* water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."2 - Acts 1:5

  • As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look! There's some water! Why can't I be baptized?"*1 - Acts 8:36

  • He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him. - Acts 8:38

  • When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away. The eunuch never saw him again but went on his way rejoicing. - Acts 8:39

  • So his companions led him by the hand to Damascus. He remained there blind for three days. And all that time he went without food and water. - Acts 9:9

  • Then I thought of the Lord's words when he said, `John baptized with* water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'6 - Acts 11:16

  • They took soundings and found the water was only 120 feet deep. A little later they sounded again and found only 90 feet.*4 - Acts 27:28
