  • You trample the poor and steal what little they have through taxes and unfair rent. Therefore, you will never live in the beautiful stone houses you are building. You will never drink wine from the lush vineyards you are planting. - Amos 5:11


  • There will be wailing in every vineyard, for I will pass through and destroy them all. I, the LORD, have spoken!" - Amos 5:17


  • "The time will come," says the LORD, "when the grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested. Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel will drip with sweet wine! - Amos 9:13


  • I will bring my exiled people of Israel back from distant lands, and they will rebuild their ruined cities and live in them again. They will plant vineyards and gardens; they will eat their crops and drink their wine. - Amos 9:14

  • "Now listen to this story. A certain landowner planted a vineyard, built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country. - Matthew 21:33


  • So they grabbed him, took him out of the vineyard, and murdered him. - Matthew 21:39


  • "When the owner of the vineyard returns," Jesus asked, "what do you think he will do to those farmers?" - Matthew 21:40


  • The religious leaders replied, "He will put the wicked men to a horrible death and lease the vineyard to others who will give him his share of the crop after each harvest." - Matthew 21:41


  • Then Jesus began telling them stories: "A man planted a vineyard, built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country. - Mark 12:1


  • So they grabbed him and murdered him and threw his body out of the vineyard. - Mark 12:8


  • "What do you suppose the owner of the vineyard will do?" Jesus asked. "I'll tell you--he will come and kill them all and lease the vineyard to others. - Mark 12:9


  • Now Jesus turned to the people again and told them this story: "A man planted a vineyard, leased it out to tenant farmers, and moved to another country to live for several years. - Luke 20:9


  • So they dragged him out of the vineyard and murdered him. "What do you suppose the owner of the vineyard will do to those farmers?" Jesus asked. - Luke 20:15
