(Read Truth Part 1 First)

  • Some shouted one thing and some another. He couldn't find out the truth in all the uproar and confusion, so he ordered Paul to be taken to the fortress. - Acts 21:34

  • But Paul replied, "I am not insane, Most Excellent Festus. I am speaking the sober truth. - Acts 26:25

  • But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves.*6 - Romans 1:18

  • For the truth about God is known to them instinctively.* God has put this knowledge in their hearts.7 - Romans 1:19

  • Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen. - Romans 1:25

  • But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds. - Romans 2:8

  • I felt fine when I did not understand what the law demanded. But when I learned the truth, I realized I had broken the law and was a sinner, doomed to die. - Romans 7:9

  • In the presence of Christ, I speak with utter truthfulness--I do not lie--and my conscience and the Holy Spirit confirm that what I am saying is true. - Romans 9:1

  • When we tell you this, we do not use words of human wisdom. We speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths.*4 - 1 Corinthians 2:13

  • But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means. - 1 Corinthians 2:14

  • So let us celebrate the festival, not by eating the old bread* of wickedness and evil, but by eating the new bread* of purity and truth.6 - 1 Corinthians 5:8

  • It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. - 1 Corinthians 13:6

  • Now I call upon God as my witness that I am telling the truth. The reason I didn't return to Corinth was to spare you from a severe rebuke. - 2 Corinthians 1:23

  • But the people's minds were hardened, and even to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, a veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. - 2 Corinthians 3:14
