  • The LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "I will punish Amon, the god of Thebes,* and all the other gods of Egypt. I will punish its rulers and Pharaoh, too, and all who trust in him.4 - Jeremiah 46:25

  • Because you have trusted in your wealth and skill, you will be taken captive. Your god Chemosh, with his priests and princes, will be exiled to distant lands! - Jeremiah 48:7

  • You are proud of your fertile valleys, but they will soon be ruined. You rebellious daughter, you trusted in your wealth and thought no one could ever harm you. - Jeremiah 49:4

  • "But you thought you could get along without me, so you trusted instead in your fame and beauty. You gave yourself as a prostitute to every man who came along. Your beauty was theirs for the asking! - Ezekiel 16:15

  • "Then Israel will no longer be tempted to trust in Egypt for help. Egypt's shattered condition will remind Israel of how sinful she was to trust Egypt in earlier days. Then Israel will know that I alone am the Sovereign LORD." - Ezekiel 29:16

  • Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue his servants who trusted in him. They defied the king's command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. - Daniel 3:28

  • The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him because he had trusted in his God. - Daniel 6:23

  • This idol they love so much will be carted away with them when they go as captives to Assyria, a gift to the great king there. Israel will be laughed at and shamed because its people have trusted in this idol. - Hosea 10:6

  • "All your allies will turn against you. They will help to chase you from your land. They will promise you peace, while plotting your destruction. Your trusted friends will set traps for you, and you won't even know about it. - Obadiah 1:7

  • Yet to this very hour my people rise against me! You steal the shirts right off the backs of those who trusted you, making them as ragged as men who have just come home from battle. - Micah 2:8

  • Don't trust anyone--not your best friend or even your wife! - Micah 7:5

  • The LORD is good. When trouble comes, he is a strong refuge. And he knows everyone who trusts in him. - Nahum 1:7

  • "Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked;* but the righteous will live by their faith.*1 - Habakkuk 2:4

  • "What have you gained by worshiping all your man-made idols? How foolish to trust in something made by your own hands! What fools you are to believe such lies! - Habakkuk 2:18

  • But if anyone causes one of these little ones who trusts in me to lose faith, it would be better for that person to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around the neck. - Matthew 18:6

  • He trusted God--let God show his approval by delivering him! For he said, `I am the Son of God.' " - Matthew 27:43

  • But Jesus ignored their comments and said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid. Just trust me." - Mark 5:36
