  • Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives. - Luke 21:37

  • and he went over to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard to discuss the best way to betray Jesus to them. - Luke 22:4

  • The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the thick veil hanging in the Temple was torn apart. - Luke 23:45

  • And they spent all of their time in the Temple, praising God. - Luke 24:53

  • This was the testimony of John when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Temple assistants* from Jerusalem to ask John whether he claimed to be the Messiah.4 - John 1:19

  • In the Temple area he saw merchants selling cattle, sheep, and doves for sacrifices; and he saw money changers behind their counters. - John 2:14

  • Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and oxen, scattered the money changers' coins over the floor, and turned over their tables. - John 2:15

  • "All right," Jesus replied. "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." - John 2:19

  • "What!" they exclaimed. "It took forty-six years to build this Temple, and you can do it in three days?" - John 2:20

  • But by "this temple," Jesus meant his body. - John 2:21

  • But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, "Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you." - John 5:14

  • Then, midway through the festival, Jesus went up to the Temple and began to teach. - John 7:14

  • While Jesus was teaching in the Temple, he called out, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I come from. But I represent one you don't know, and he is true. - John 7:28

  • Many among the crowds at the Temple believed in him. "After all," they said, "would you expect the Messiah to do more miraculous signs than this man has done?" - John 7:31

  • When the Pharisees heard that the crowds were murmuring such things, they and the leading priests sent Temple guards to arrest Jesus. - John 7:32

  • The Temple guards who had been sent to arrest him returned to the leading priests and Pharisees. "Why didn't you bring him in?" they demanded. - John 7:45

  • but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. - John 8:2
