  • "So if you are standing before the altar in the Temple, offering a sacrifice to God, and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, - Matthew 5:23

  • "Blind guides! How terrible it will be for you! For you say that it means nothing to swear `by God's Temple'--you can break that oath. But then you say that it is binding to swear `by the gold in the Temple.' - Matthew 23:16

  • Blind fools! Which is greater, the gold, or the Temple that makes the gold sacred? - Matthew 23:17

  • And when you swear `by the Temple,' you are swearing by it and by God, who lives in it. - Matthew 23:21

  • As a result, you will become guilty of murdering all the godly people from righteous Abel to Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered in the Temple between the altar and the sanctuary. - Matthew 23:35

  • As Jesus was leaving the Temple grounds, his disciples pointed out to him the various Temple buildings. - Matthew 24:1

  • Then Jesus said to the crowd, "Am I some dangerous criminal, that you have come armed with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn't you arrest me in the Temple? I was there teaching every day. - Matthew 26:55

  • who declared, "This man said, `I am able to destroy the Temple of God and rebuild it in three days.' " - Matthew 26:61

  • Then Judas threw the money onto the floor of the Temple and went out and hanged himself. - Matthew 27:5
