(Read Teaching Part 1 First)

  • Dear brothers and sisters,* if I should come to you talking in an unknown language,* how would that help you? But if I bring you some revelation or some special knowledge or some prophecy or some teaching--that is what will help you.2 - 1 Corinthians 14:6


  • Those who are trying to force you to be circumcised are doing it for just one reason. They don't want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save. - Galatians 6:12


  • Such rules are mere human teaching about things that are gone as soon as we use them. - Colossians 2:22


  • When I left for Macedonia, I urged you to stay there in Ephesus and stop those who are teaching wrong doctrine. - 1 Timothy 1:3


  • These laws are for people who are sexually immoral, for homosexuals and slave traders, for liars and oath breakers, and for those who do anything else that contradicts the right teaching - 1 Timothy 1:10


  • Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons. - 1 Timothy 4:1


  • If you explain this to the brothers and sisters,* you will be doing your duty as a worthy servant of Christ Jesus, one who is fed by the message of faith and the true teaching you have followed.2 - 1 Timothy 4:6


  • Until I get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the church, encouraging the believers, and teaching them. - 1 Timothy 4:13


  • Keep a close watch on yourself and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right, and God will save you and those who hear you. - 1 Timothy 4:16


  • Elders who do their work well should be paid well,* especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching.5 - 1 Timothy 5:17


  • Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. - 1 Timothy 6:1


  • Some false teachers may deny these things, but these are the sound, wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, and they are the foundation for a godly life. - 1 Timothy 6:3


  • Hold on to the pattern of right teaching you learned from me. And remember to live in the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus. - 2 Timothy 1:13


  • Such women are forever following new teachings, but they never understand the truth. - 2 Timothy 3:7


  • Preach the word of God. Be persistent, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. - 2 Timothy 4:2


  • For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear. - 2 Timothy 4:3


  • He must have a strong and steadfast belief in the trustworthy message he was taught; then he will be able to encourage others with right teaching and show those who oppose it where they are wrong. - Titus 1:9
