(Read Teaching Part 1 First)

  • They were amazed at his teaching, for he taught as one who had real authority--quite unlike the teachers of religious law. - Mark 1:22


  • Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. "What sort of new teaching is this?" they asked excitedly. "It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!" - Mark 1:27


  • Jesus' mother and brothers arrived at the house where he was teaching. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them. - Mark 3:31


  • Once again Jesus began teaching by the lakeshore. There was such a large crowd along the shore that he got into a boat and sat down and spoke from there. - Mark 4:1

  • Later, as Jesus was teaching the people in the Temple, he asked, "Why do the teachers of religious law claim that the Messiah will be the son of David? - Mark 12:35


  • Why didn't you arrest me in the Temple? I was there teaching every day. But these things are happening to fulfill what the Scriptures say about me." - Mark 14:49


  • One day while Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of religious law were sitting nearby. (It seemed that these men showed up from every village in all Galilee and Judea, as well as from Jerusalem.) And the Lord's healing power was strongly with Jesus. - Luke 5:17

  • I will show you what it's like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then obeys me. - Luke 6:47
