  • Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our hearts from deeds that lead to death so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. - Hebrews 9:14

  • And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. First he says, - Hebrews 10:15

  • Think how much more terrible the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God and have treated the blood of the covenant as if it were common and unholy. Such people have insulted and enraged the Holy Spirit who brings God's mercy to his people. - Hebrews 10:29

  • You have come to the assembly of God's firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is the judge of all people. And you have come to the spirits of the redeemed in heaven who have now been made perfect. - Hebrews 12:23

  • So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your spiritual strength comes from God's special favor, not from ceremonial rules about food, which don't help those who follow them. - Hebrews 13:9

  • Obey your spiritual leaders and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they know they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this joyfully and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit. - Hebrews 13:17

  • Just as the body is dead without a spirit, so also faith is dead without good deeds. - James 2:26

  • So he went and preached to the spirits in prison-- - 1 Peter 3:19

  • That is why the Good News was preached even to those who have died--so that although their bodies were punished with death, they could still live in the spirit as God does. - 1 Peter 4:6
