(Read Spirit Part 1 First)
One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work I have for them." - Acts 13:2
Sent out by the Holy Spirit, Saul and Barnabas went down to the seaport of Seleucia and then sailed for the island of Cyprus. - Acts 13:4
Then Saul, also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked the sorcerer in the eye and said, - Acts 13:9
And the believers* were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.6 - Acts 13:52
God, who knows people's hearts, confirmed that he accepts Gentiles by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he gave him to us. - Acts 15:8
"For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay no greater burden on you than these requirements: - Acts 15:28
Next Paul and Silas traveled through the area of Phrygia and Galatia, because the Holy Spirit had told them not to go into the province of Asia at that time.2 - Acts 16:6
Then coming to the borders of Mysia, they headed for the province of Bithynia,* but again the Spirit of Jesus did not let them go.3 - Acts 16:7
"Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" he asked them. "No," they replied, "we don't know what you mean. We haven't even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." - Acts 19:2
Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied. - Acts 19:6
so that even when handkerchiefs or cloths that had touched his skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and any evil spirits within them came out. - Acts 19:12
A team of Jews who were traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus. The incantation they used was this: "I command you by Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!" - Acts 19:13
But when they tried it on a man possessed by an evil spirit, the spirit replied, "I know Jesus, and I know Paul. But who are you?" - Acts 19:15
Afterward Paul felt impelled by the Holy Spirit* to go over to Macedonia and Achaia before returning to Jerusalem. "And after that," he said, "I must go on to Rome!"3 - Acts 19:21
"And now I am going to Jerusalem, drawn there irresistibly by the Holy Spirit,* not knowing what awaits me,5 - Acts 20:22
except that the Holy Spirit has told me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. - Acts 20:23
"And now beware! Be sure that you feed and shepherd God's flock--his church, purchased with his blood--over whom the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders.*7 - Acts 20:28
