(Read Spirit Part 1 First)

  • Then Peter and John laid their hands upon these believers, and they received the Holy Spirit. - Acts 8:17

  • When Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given when the apostles placed their hands upon people's heads, he offered money to buy this power. - Acts 8:18

  • "Let me have this power, too," he exclaimed, "so that when I lay my hands on people, they will receive the Holy Spirit!" - Acts 8:19

  • The Holy Spirit said to Philip, "Go over and walk along beside the carriage." - Acts 8:29

  • When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away. The eunuch never saw him again but went on his way rejoicing. - Acts 8:39

  • So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you may get your sight back and be filled with the Holy Spirit." - Acts 9:17

  • The church then had peace throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and it grew in strength and numbers. The believers were walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. - Acts 9:31

  • Meanwhile, as Peter was puzzling over the vision, the Holy Spirit said to him, "Three men have come looking for you. - Acts 10:19

  • And no doubt you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with him. - Acts 10:38

  • Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who had heard the message. - Acts 10:44

  • The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out upon the Gentiles, too. - Acts 10:45

  • "Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?" - Acts 10:47

  • The Holy Spirit told me to go with them and not to worry about their being Gentiles. These six brothers here accompanied me, and we soon arrived at the home of the man who had sent for us. - Acts 11:12

  • "Well, I began telling them the Good News, but just as I was getting started, the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning. - Acts 11:15

  • Then I thought of the Lord's words when he said, `John baptized with* water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'6 - Acts 11:16

  • Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and strong in faith. And large numbers of people were brought to the Lord. - Acts 11:24

  • One of them named Agabus stood up in one of the meetings to predict by the Spirit that a great famine was coming upon the entire Roman world. (This was fulfilled during the reign of Claudius.) - Acts 11:28
