  • Well, God doesn't listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will. - John 9:31


  • "But," some say, "our sins serve a good purpose, for people will see God's goodness when he declares us sinners to be innocent. Isn't it unfair, then, for God to punish us?" (That is actually the way some people talk.) - Romans 3:5


  • "But," some might still argue, "how can God judge and condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?" - Romans 3:7


  • And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus. - Romans 3:26


  • King David spoke of this, describing the happiness of an undeserving sinner who is declared to be righteous: - Romans 4:6


  • When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. - Romans 5:6


  • But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. - Romans 5:8


  • Because one person disobeyed God, many people became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many people will be made right in God's sight. - Romans 5:19


  • I felt fine when I did not understand what the law demanded. But when I learned the truth, I realized I had broken the law and was a sinner, doomed to die. - Romans 7:9


  • But what if we seek to be made right with God through faith in Christ and then find out that we are still sinners? Has Christ led us into sin? Of course not! - Galatians 2:17


  • This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is changing lives everywhere, just as it changed yours that very first day you heard and understood the truth about God's great kindness to sinners. - Colossians 1:6


  • This is a true saying, and everyone should believe it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--and I was the worst of them all. - 1 Timothy 1:15


  • But that is why God had mercy on me, so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life. - 1 Timothy 1:16


  • He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has now been set apart from sinners, and he has been given the highest place of honor in heaven. - Hebrews 7:26


  • Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, you hypocrites. - James 4:8


  • you can be sure that the one who brings that person back will save that sinner from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins. - James 5:20


  • Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.*4 - 1 Peter 3:18
