(Read Simeon Part 1 First)

  • The sons of Israel* were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,1 - 1 Chronicles 2:1

  • The sons of Simeon were Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, and Shaul. - 1 Chronicles 4:24

  • Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but none of his brothers had large families. So Simeon's tribe never became as large as the tribe of Judah. - 1 Chronicles 4:27

  • Other descendants of Simeon included Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah son of Amaziah, - 1 Chronicles 4:34

  • These were the names of some of the leaders of Simeon's wealthy clans, - 1 Chronicles 4:38

  • But during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah, the leaders of Simeon invaded it and completely destroyed* the homes of the descendants of Ham and of the Meunites. They killed everyone who lived there and took the land for themselves, because they wanted its good pastureland for their flocks.7 - 1 Chronicles 4:41

  • Five hundred of these invaders from the tribe of Simeon went to Mount Seir, led by Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel--all sons of Ishi. - 1 Chronicles 4:42

  • The towns in the territories of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin, mentioned above, were also assigned by means of sacred lots. - 1 Chronicles 6:65

  • From the tribe of Simeon, there were 7,100 warriors. - 1 Chronicles 12:25

  • The following were the tribes of Israel and their leaders: [Tribe Leader] Reuben Eliezer son of Zicri Simeon Shephatiah son of Maacah - 1 Chronicles 27:16

  • Then Asa called together all the people of Judah and Benjamin, along with the people of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them. Many had moved to Judah during Asa's reign when they saw that the LORD his God was with him. - 2 Chronicles 15:9

  • He did the same thing in the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, even as far as Naphtali. - 2 Chronicles 34:6

  • South of Benjamin's territory lies that of Simeon, also extending across the land from east to west. - Ezekiel 48:24

  • The south wall, also 1 miles long, will have gates named for Simeon, Issachar, and Zebulun. - Ezekiel 48:33

  • Now there was a man named Simeon who lived in Jerusalem. He was a righteous man and very devout. He was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he eagerly expected the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. - Luke 2:25

  • Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying, - Luke 2:28

  • Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, "This child will be rejected by many in Israel, and it will be their undoing. But he will be the greatest joy to many others. - Luke 2:34
