  • Everything made from silver, gold, bronze, or iron is sacred to the LORD and must be brought into his treasury." - Joshua 6:19


  • Then the Israelites burned the city and everything in it. Only the things made from silver, gold, bronze, or iron were kept for the treasury of the LORD's house. - Joshua 6:24


  • For I saw a beautiful robe imported from Babylon,* two hundred silver coins,* and a bar of gold weighing more than a pound.* I wanted them so much that I took them. They are hidden in the ground beneath my tent, with the silver buried deeper than the rest."3 - Joshua 7:21


  • So Joshua sent some men to make a search. They ran to the tent and found the stolen goods hidden there, just as Achan had said, with the silver buried beneath the rest. - Joshua 7:22


  • Then Joshua and all the Israelites took Achan, the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons, daughters, cattle, donkeys, sheep, tent, and everything he had, and they brought them to the valley of Achor. - Joshua 7:24

  • They gave him seventy silver coins from the temple of Baal-berith, which he used to hire some soldiers who agreed to follow him. - Judges 9:4


  • The leaders of the Philistines went to her and said, "Find out from Samson what makes him so strong and how he can be overpowered and tied up securely. Then each of us will give you eleven hundred pieces* of silver."1 - Judges 16:5


  • One day he said to his mother, "I heard you curse the thief who stole eleven hundred pieces* of silver from you. Well, here they are. I was the one who took them." "The LORD bless you for admitting it," his mother replied.1 - Judges 17:2


  • He returned the money to her, and she said, "I now dedicate these silver coins to the LORD. In honor of my son, I will have an image carved and an idol cast." - Judges 17:3


  • So his mother took two hundred of the silver coins to a silversmith, who made them into an image and an idol. And these were placed in Micah's house. - Judges 17:4


  • "Stay here with me," Micah said, "and you can be a father and priest to me. I will give you ten pieces* of silver a year, plus a change of clothes and your food."2 - Judges 17:10


  • "Well," the servant said, "I have one small silver piece.* We can at least offer it to him and see what happens!"1 - 1 Samuel 9:8


  • (The schedule of charges was as follows: a quarter of an ounce of silver* for sharpening a plowshare or a pick, and an eighth of an ounce* for sharpening an ax, a sickle, or an ox goad.)5 - 1 Samuel 13:21


  • he sent his son Joram to congratulate David on his success. Hadadezer and Toi had long been enemies, and there had been many wars between them. Joram presented David with many gifts of silver, gold, and bronze. - 2 Samuel 8:10


  • King David dedicated all these gifts to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had set apart from the other nations he had subdued-- - 2 Samuel 8:11
