  • For I live in eager expectation and hope that I will never do anything that causes me shame, but that I will always be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past, and that my life will always honor Christ, whether I live or I die. - Philippians 1:20


  • Their future is eternal destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and all they think about is this life here on earth. - Philippians 3:19


  • In this way, God disarmed the evil rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross of Christ. - Colossians 2:15


  • So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don't be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry. - Colossians 3:5


  • Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. - 1 Timothy 6:1


  • to live wisely and be pure, to take care of their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. - Titus 2:5


  • and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people to repentance again because they are nailing the Son of God to the cross again by rejecting him, holding him up to public shame. - Hebrews 6:6


  • We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish.* He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterward. Now he is seated in the place of highest honor beside God's throne in heaven.1 - Hebrews 12:2


  • But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his wonderful name! - 1 Peter 4:16


  • Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of them, Christ and his true way will be slandered. - 2 Peter 2:2


  • And now, dear children, continue to live in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame. - 1 John 2:28


  • When these people join you in fellowship meals celebrating the love of the Lord, they are like dangerous reefs that can shipwreck you.* They are shameless in the way they care only about themselves. They are like clouds blowing over dry land without giving rain, promising much but producing nothing. They are like trees without fruit at harvesttime. They are not only dead but doubly dead, for they have been pulled out by the roots.4 - 2 John 1:12


  • They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the dirty foam of their shameful deeds. They are wandering stars, heading for everlasting gloom and darkness. - 2 John 1:13


  • I advise you to buy gold from me--gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. - Revelation 3:18


  • Nothing evil will be allowed to enter--no one who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty--but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. - Revelation 21:27
