  • God calls his angels "messengers swift as the wind, and servants made of flaming fire."*2 - Philemon 1:7


  • But angels are only servants. They are spirits sent from God to care for those who will receive salvation. - Philemon 1:14


  • Moses was certainly faithful in God's house, but only as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. - Hebrews 3:5


  • This is a revelation from* Jesus Christ, which God gave him concerning the events that will happen soon. An angel was sent to God's servant John so that John could share the revelation with God's other servants.1 - 2 John 1:1


  • But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman--that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet--to lead my servants astray. She is encouraging them to worship idols, eat food offered to idols, and commit sexual sin. - Revelation 2:20

  • Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said, "No, don't worship me. For I am a servant of God, just like you and other brothers and sisters* who testify of their faith in Jesus. Worship God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.*"1 - Revelation 19:10


  • No longer will anything be cursed. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. - Revelation 22:3


  • But again he said, "No, don't worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this scroll. Worship God!" - Revelation 22:9
