(Read Servant Part 1 First)

  • Again and again the LORD had sent his prophets and seers to warn both Israel and Judah: "Turn from all your evil ways. Obey my commands and laws, which are contained in the whole law that I commanded your ancestors and which I gave you through my servants the prophets." - 2 Kings 17:13

  • For they had refused to listen to the LORD their God. Instead, they had violated his covenant--all the laws the LORD had given through his servant Moses. - 2 Kings 18:12

  • For my own honor and for the sake of my servant David, I will defend it." - 2 Kings 19:34

  • For you are God, O LORD. And you have promised these good things to me, your servant. - 1 Chronicles 17:26

  • When the servants of Hadadezer realized they had been defeated by Israel, they surrendered to David and became his subjects. After that, the Arameans were no longer willing to help the Ammonites. - 1 Chronicles 19:19

  • But Joab replied, "May the LORD increase the number of his people a hundred times over! But why, my lord, do you want to do this? Are they not all your servants? Why must you cause Israel to sin?" - 1 Chronicles 21:3
