  • And even so, I will let him be king of one tribe, for the sake of my servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, my chosen city." - 1 Kings 11:13


  • But I will leave him one tribe for the sake of my servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel. - 1 Kings 11:32


  • " `But I will not take the entire kingdom from Solomon at this time. For the sake of my servant David, the one whom I chose and who obeyed my commands and laws, I will let Solomon reign for the rest of his life. - 1 Kings 11:34


  • His son will have one tribe so that the descendants of David my servant will continue to reign* in Jerusalem, the city I have chosen to be the place for my name.1 - 1 Kings 11:36


  • If you listen to what I tell you and follow my ways and do whatever I consider to be right, and if you obey my laws and commands, as my servant David did, then I will always be with you. I will establish an enduring dynasty for you as I did for David, and I will give Israel to you. - 1 Kings 11:38

  • Then he said to his servant, "Go and look out toward the sea." The servant went and looked, but he returned to Elijah and said, "I didn't see anything." Seven times Elijah told him to go and look, and seven times he went. - 1 Kings 18:43


  • Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, "I saw a little cloud about the size of a hand rising from the sea." Then Elijah shouted, "Hurry to Ahab and tell him, `Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don't hurry, the rain will stop you!' " - 1 Kings 18:44


  • Elijah was afraid and fled for his life. He went to Beersheba, a town in Judah, and he left his servant there. - 1 Kings 19:3


  • So they put on sackcloth and ropes and went to the king of Israel and begged, "Your servant Ben-hadad says, `Please let me live!' " The king of Israel responded, "Is he still alive? He is my brother!" - 1 Kings 20:32


  • Once more the king sent a captain with fifty men. But this time the captain fell to his knees before Elijah. He pleaded with him, "O man of God, please spare my life and the lives of these, your fifty servants. - 2 Kings 1:13


  • He said to his servant Gehazi, "Tell the woman I want to speak to her." When she arrived, - 2 Kings 4:12


  • Suddenly he complained, "My head hurts! My head hurts!" His father said to one of the servants, "Carry him home to his mother." - 2 Kings 4:19


  • So the servant took him home, and his mother held him on her lap. But around noontime he died. - 2 Kings 4:20


  • She sent a message to her husband: "Send one of the servants and a donkey so that I can hurry to the man of God and come right back." - 2 Kings 4:22
