(Read Scriptures Part 1 First)

  • He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said. - 1 Corinthians 15:4

  • For the Scriptures say, "God has given him authority over all things."* (Of course, when it says "authority over all things," it does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.)5 - 1 Corinthians 15:27

  • The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a living person."* But the last Adam--that is, Christ--is a life-giving Spirit.2 - 1 Corinthians 15:45

  • When this happens--when our perishable earthly bodies have been transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die--then at last the Scriptures will come true: "Death is swallowed up in victory.*4 - 1 Corinthians 15:54

  • Do you remember what the Scriptures say about this? "Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough."*3 - 2 Corinthians 8:15

  • As the Scriptures say, "Godly people give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will never be forgotten."*3 - 2 Corinthians 9:9

  • As the Scriptures say, "The person who wishes to boast should boast only of what the Lord has done."*2 - 2 Corinthians 10:17

  • This is the third time I am coming to visit you. As the Scriptures say, "The facts of every case must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses."*1 - 2 Corinthians 13:1

  • What's more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would accept the Gentiles, too, on the basis of their faith. God promised this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, "All nations will be blessed through you."*2 - Galatians 3:8

  • But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, "Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all these commands that are written in God's Book of the Law."*3 - Galatians 3:10

  • Consequently, it is clear that no one can ever be right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."*4 - Galatians 3:11

  • But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."*6 - Galatians 3:13

  • But the Scriptures have declared that we are all prisoners of sin, so the only way to receive God's promise is to believe in Jesus Christ. - Galatians 3:22

  • The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave-wife and one from his freeborn wife.*5 - Galatians 4:22

  • But what do the Scriptures say about that? "Get rid of the slave and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the family inheritance with the free woman's son."*1 - Galatians 4:30

  • That is why the Scriptures say, "When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people."*1 - Ephesians 4:8

  • As the Scriptures say, "A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one."*2 - Ephesians 5:31
