(Read Scriptures Part 1 First)

  • He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said. - 1 Corinthians 15:4

  • For the Scriptures say, "God has given him authority over all things."* (Of course, when it says "authority over all things," it does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.)5 - 1 Corinthians 15:27

  • The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a living person."* But the last Adam--that is, Christ--is a life-giving Spirit.2 - 1 Corinthians 15:45

  • When this happens--when our perishable earthly bodies have been transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die--then at last the Scriptures will come true: "Death is swallowed up in victory.*4 - 1 Corinthians 15:54

  • Do you remember what the Scriptures say about this? "Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough."*3 - 2 Corinthians 8:15

  • As the Scriptures say, "Godly people give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will never be forgotten."*3 - 2 Corinthians 9:9

  • The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave-wife and one from his freeborn wife.*5 - Galatians 4:22

  • But what do the Scriptures say about that? "Get rid of the slave and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the family inheritance with the free woman's son."*1 - Galatians 4:30

  • That is why the Scriptures say, "When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people."*1 - Ephesians 4:8
