  • Ahaziah son of Ahab began to rule over Israel in the seventeenth year of King Jehoshaphat's reign in Judah. He reigned in Samaria two years. - 1 Kings 22:51


  • One day Israel's new king, Ahaziah, fell through the latticework of an upper room at his palace in Samaria, and he was seriously injured. So he sent messengers to the temple of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether he would recover. - 2 Kings 1:2


  • But the angel of the LORD told Elijah, who was from Tishbe, "Go and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, `Why are you going to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, to ask whether the king will get well? Is there no God in Israel? - 2 Kings 1:3


  • From there Elisha went to Mount Carmel and finally returned to Samaria. - 2 Kings 2:25


  • Ahab's son Joram* began to rule over Israel in the eighteenth year of King Jehoshaphat's reign in Judah. He reigned in Samaria twelve years.1 - 2 Kings 3:1


  • So King Joram mustered the army of Israel and marched from Samaria. - 2 Kings 3:6


  • One day the girl said to her mistress, "I wish my master would go to see the prophet in Samaria. He would heal him of his leprosy." - 2 Kings 5:3


  • Then Elisha went out and told them, "You have come the wrong way! This isn't the right city! Follow me, and I will take you to the man you are looking for." And he led them to Samaria. - 2 Kings 6:19


  • As soon as they had entered Samaria, Elisha prayed, "O LORD, now open their eyes and let them see." And the LORD did, and they discovered that they were in Samaria. - 2 Kings 6:20


  • Some time later, however, King Ben-hadad of Aram mobilized his entire army and besieged Samaria. - 2 Kings 6:24


  • Elisha replied, "Hear this message from the LORD! This is what the LORD says: By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, five quarts of fine flour will cost only half an ounce of silver,* and ten quarts of barley grain will cost only half an ounce of silver.*"1 - 2 Kings 7:1


  • Then the people of Samaria rushed out and plundered the Aramean camp. So it was true that five quarts of fine flour were sold that day for half an ounce of silver, and ten quarts of barley grain were sold for half an ounce of silver, just as the LORD had promised. - 2 Kings 7:16


  • The man of God had said to the king, "By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, five quarts of fine flour will cost half an ounce of silver, and ten quarts of barley grain will cost half an ounce of silver." - 2 Kings 7:18


  • Now Ahab had seventy sons living in the city of Samaria. So Jehu wrote a letter and sent copies to Samaria, to the officials of the city,* to the leaders of the people, and to the guardians of King Ahab's sons. The letter said,1 - 2 Kings 10:1


  • Jehu responded with a second letter: "If you are on my side and are going to obey me, bring the heads of the king's sons to me at Jezreel at about this time tomorrow." Now the seventy sons of the king were being cared for by the leaders of Samaria, where they had been raised since childhood. - 2 Kings 10:6


  • Then Jehu set out for Samaria. Along the way, while he was at Beth-eked of the Shepherds, - 2 Kings 10:12


  • When Jehu arrived in Samaria, he killed everyone who was left there from Ahab's family, just as the LORD had promised through Elijah. - 2 Kings 10:17
