  • Worship only the LORD, who brought you out of Egypt with such mighty miracles and power. You must worship him and bow before him; offer sacrifices to him alone. - 2 Kings 17:36

  • He made pagan shrines in all the towns of Judah for offering sacrifices to other gods. In this way, he aroused the anger of the LORD, the God of his ancestors. - 2 Chronicles 28:25

So the people brought their sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings, and those whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings, too. - 2 Chronicles 29:31
