(Read River Part 1 First)

  • Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit to go out into the wilderness, - Luke 4:1


  • This incident took place at Bethany, a village east of the Jordan River, where John was baptizing. - John 1:28


  • John's disciples came to him and said, "Teacher, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you said was the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going over there instead of coming here to us." - John 3:26


  • If you believe in me, come and drink! For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from within."*2 - John 7:38


  • He went beyond the Jordan River to stay near the place where John was first baptizing. - John 10:40


  • On the Sabbath we went a little way outside the city to a riverbank, where we supposed that some people met for prayer, and we sat down to speak with some women who had come together. - Acts 16:13


  • I have traveled many weary miles. I have faced danger from flooded rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles.   • Then the third angel blew his trumpet, and a great flaming star fell out of the sky, burning like a torch. It fell upon one-third of the rivers and on the springs of water. - Revelation 8:10


  • And the voice spoke to the sixth angel who held the trumpet: "Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River." - Revelation 9:14


  • They have power to shut the skies so that no rain will fall for as long as they prophesy. And they have the power to turn the rivers and oceans into blood, and to send every kind of plague upon the earth as often as they wish. - Revelation 11:6


  • And the angel showed me a pure river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, - Revelation 22:1


  • coursing down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,* with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.1 - Revelation 22:2
