(Read Priest Part 1 First)

  • "These are the parts the priests may claim as their share from the oxen and sheep that the people bring as offerings: the shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach. - Deuteronomy 18:3

  • You must also give to the priests the first share of the grain, the new wine, the olive oil, and the wool at shearing time. - Deuteronomy 18:4

  • then both the accuser and accused must appear before the priests and judges who are on duty before the LORD. - Deuteronomy 19:17

  • Before you go into battle, the priest will come forward to speak with the troops. - Deuteronomy 20:2

  • The Levitical priests must go there also, for the LORD your God has chosen them to minister before him and to pronounce blessings in the LORD's name. And they are to decide all lawsuits and punishments. - Deuteronomy 21:5

  • "Watch all contagious skin diseases* carefully and follow the instructions of the Levitical priests; obey the commands I have given them.1 - Deuteronomy 24:8

  • Go to the priest in charge at that time and say to him, `With this gift I acknowledge that the LORD your God has brought me into the land he swore to give our ancestors.' - Deuteronomy 26:3

  • The priest will then take the basket from your hand and set it before the altar of the LORD your God. - Deuteronomy 26:4

  • Then Moses and the Levitical priests addressed all Israel as follows: "O Israel, be quiet and listen! Today you have become the people of the LORD your God. - Deuteronomy 27:9

  • So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the priests, who carried the Ark of the LORD's covenant, and to the leaders of Israel. - Deuteronomy 31:9

  • giving these instructions to the people: "When you see the Levitical priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant of the LORD your God, follow them. - Joshua 3:3

  • In the morning Joshua said to the priests, "Lift up the Ark of the Covenant and lead the people across the river." And so they started out. - Joshua 3:6

  • Give these instructions to the priests who are carrying the Ark of the Covenant: `When you reach the banks of the Jordan River, take a few steps into the river and stop.' " - Joshua 3:8

  • The priests will be carrying the Ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth. When their feet touch the water, the flow of water will be cut off upstream, and the river will pile up there in one heap." - Joshua 3:13

  • When the people set out to cross the Jordan, the priests who were carrying the Ark of the Covenant went ahead of them. - Joshua 3:14

  • Now it was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river's edge, - Joshua 3:15

  • Meanwhile, the priests who were carrying the Ark of the LORD's covenant stood on dry ground in the middle of the riverbed as the people passed by them. They waited there until everyone had crossed the Jordan on dry ground. - Joshua 3:17
