  • Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. - Proverbs 11:2

  • Pride leads to arguments; those who take advice are wise. - Proverbs 13:10

  • The LORD despises pride; be assured that the proud will be punished. - Proverbs 16:5

  • Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall. - Proverbs 16:18

  • Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children. - Proverbs 17:6

  • Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor. - Proverbs 29:23

  • Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride. - Ecclesiastes 7:8

  • The day is coming when your pride will be brought low and the LORD alone will be exalted. - Isaiah 2:11

  • The arrogance of all people will be brought low. Their pride will lie in the dust. The LORD alone will be exalted! - Isaiah 2:17

  • But in the future, Israel--the branch of the LORD--will be lush and beautiful, and the fruit of the land will be the pride of its people. - Isaiah 4:2

  • The proud city of Samaria--the pride and joy of the drunkards of Israel--will be trampled beneath its enemies' feet. - Isaiah 28:3

  • Then at last the LORD Almighty will himself be Israel's crowning glory. He will be the pride and joy of the remnant of his people. - Isaiah 28:5
