  • Then the Levites from the clans of Kohath and Korah stood to praise the LORD, the God of Israel, with a very loud shout. - 2 Chronicles 20:19


  • At the moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. - 2 Chronicles 20:22


  • On the fourth day they gathered in the Valley of Blessing,* which got its name that day because the people praised and thanked the LORD there. It is still called the Valley of Blessing today.2 - 2 Chronicles 20:26


  • When Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and the shouts of praise to the king, she hurried to the LORD's Temple to see what was happening. - 2 Chronicles 23:12


  • Then Hezekiah ordered that the burnt offering be placed on the altar. As the burnt offering was presented, songs of praise to the LORD were begun, accompanied by the trumpets and other instruments of David, king of Israel. - 2 Chronicles 29:27


  • King Hezekiah and the officials ordered the Levites to praise the LORD with the psalms of David and Asaph the seer. So they offered joyous praise and bowed down in worship. - 2 Chronicles 29:30

  • These were the family leaders of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua, Binnui,* Kadmiel, and other associates, who stood opposite them during the ceremonies of praise and thanksgiving, one section responding to the other, just as commanded by David, the man of God.11 - Nehemiah 12:24


  • The custom of having choir directors to lead the choirs in hymns of praise and thanks to God began long ago in the days of David and Asaph. - Nehemiah 12:46


  • He said, "I came naked from my mother's womb, and I will be stripped of everything when I die. The LORD gave me everything I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!" - Job 1:21
