(Read Power Part 1 First)

  • The Spirit gives special faith to another, and to someone else he gives the power to heal the sick. - 1 Corinthians 12:9

  • He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and to another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to know whether it is really the Spirit of God or another spirit that is speaking. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages,* and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.2 - 1 Corinthians 12:10

  • Is everyone an apostle? Of course not. Is everyone a prophet? No. Are all teachers? Does everyone have the power to do miracles? - 1 Corinthians 12:29

  • For if your gift is the ability to speak in tongues,* you will be talking to God but not to people, since they won't be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious.1 - 1 Corinthians 14:2

  • Our bodies now disappoint us, but when they are raised, they will be full of glory. They are weak now, but when they are raised, they will be full of power. - 1 Corinthians 15:43

  • For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. - 1 Corinthians 15:56

  • It is not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our only power and success come from God. - 2 Corinthians 3:5

  • But this precious treasure--this light and power that now shine within us--is held in perishable containers, that is, in our weak bodies.* So everyone can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own.1 - 2 Corinthians 4:7

  • We have proved ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, our sincere love, and the power of the Holy Spirit.*3 - 2 Corinthians 6:6

  • We have faithfully preached the truth. God's power has been working in us. We have righteousness as our weapon, both to attack and to defend ourselves. - 2 Corinthians 6:7

  • Each time he said, "My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may work through me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

  • I will give you all the proof you want that Christ speaks through me. Christ is not weak in his dealings with you; he is a mighty power among you. - 2 Corinthians 13:3

  • Although he died on the cross in weakness, he now lives by the mighty power of God. We, too, are weak, but we live in him and have God's power--the power we use in dealing with you. - 2 Corinthians 13:4

  • And that's the way it was with us before Christ came. We were slaves to the spiritual powers of this world. - Galatians 4:3

  • And now that you have found God (or should I say, now that God has found you), why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual powers of this world? - Galatians 4:9

  • I pray that you will begin to understand the incredible greatness of his power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power - Ephesians 1:19

  • Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come. - Ephesians 1:21
