  • Then those who were sent by the Pharisees - John 1:24


  • Jesus* learned that the Pharisees had heard, "Jesus is baptizing and making more disciples than John"1 - John 4:1


  • When the Pharisees heard that the crowds were murmuring such things, they and the leading priests sent Temple guards to arrest Jesus. - John 7:32


  • The Temple guards who had been sent to arrest him returned to the leading priests and Pharisees. "Why didn't you bring him in?" they demanded. - John 7:45


  • "Have you been led astray, too?" the Pharisees mocked. - John 7:47


  • "Is there a single one of us rulers or Pharisees who believes in him? - John 7:48


  • As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and Pharisees brought a woman they had caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. - John 8:3


  • The Pharisees replied, "You are making false claims about yourself!" - John 8:13


  • Then they took the man to the Pharisees. - John 9:13


  • The Pharisees asked the man all about it. So he told them, "He smoothed the mud over my eyes, and when it was washed away, I could see!" - John 9:15


  • Some of the Pharisees said, "This man Jesus is not from God, for he is working on the Sabbath." Others said, "But how could an ordinary sinner do such miraculous signs?" So there was a deep division of opinion among them. - John 9:16


  • Then the Pharisees once again questioned the man who had been blind and demanded, "This man who opened your eyes--who do you say he is?" The man replied, "I think he must be a prophet." - John 9:17


  • The Pharisees who were standing there heard him and asked, "Are you saying we are blind?" - John 9:40


  • But some went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. - John 11:46


  • Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council* together to discuss the situation. "What are we going to do?" they asked each other. "This man certainly performs many miraculous signs.1 - John 11:47


  • Meanwhile, the leading priests and Pharisees had publicly announced that anyone seeing Jesus must report him immediately so they could arrest him. - John 11:57


  • Then the Pharisees said to each other, "We've lost. Look, the whole world has gone after him!" - John 12:19
