(Read Peter Part 1 First)

  • Peter traveled from place to place to visit the believers, and in his travels he came to the Lord's people in the town of Lydda. - Acts 9:32

  • Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you! Get up and make your bed!" And he was healed instantly. - Acts 9:34

  • But they had heard that Peter was nearby at Lydda, so they sent two men to beg him, "Please come as soon as possible!" - Acts 9:38

  • So Peter returned with them; and as soon as he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room. The room was filled with widows who were weeping and showing him the coats and other garments Dorcas had made for them. - Acts 9:39

  • But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, "Get up, Tabitha." And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up! - Acts 9:40

  • And Peter stayed a long time in Joppa, living with Simon, a leatherworker. - Acts 9:43

  • Now send some men down to Joppa to find a man named Simon Peter. - Acts 10:5

  • The next day as Cornelius's messengers were nearing the city, Peter went up to the flat roof to pray. It was about noon, - Acts 10:9

  • Then a voice said to him, "Get up, Peter; kill and eat them." - Acts 10:13

  • "Never, Lord," Peter declared. "I have never in all my life eaten anything forbidden by our Jewish laws.*"1 - Acts 10:14

  • Peter was very perplexed. What could the vision mean? Just then the men sent by Cornelius found the house and stood outside at the gate. - Acts 10:17

  • They asked if this was the place where Simon Peter was staying. - Acts 10:18

  • Meanwhile, as Peter was puzzling over the vision, the Holy Spirit said to him, "Three men have come looking for you. - Acts 10:19

  • So Peter went down and said, "I'm the man you are looking for. Why have you come?" - Acts 10:21

  • So Peter invited the men to be his guests for the night. The next day he went with them, accompanied by some other believers* from Joppa.3 - Acts 10:23

  • They arrived in Caesarea the following day. Cornelius was waiting for him and had called together his relatives and close friends to meet Peter. - Acts 10:24

  • As Peter entered his home, Cornelius fell to the floor before him in worship. - Acts 10:25
