(Read Peter Part 1 First)

  • Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. "People of Israel," he said, "what is so astounding about this? And why look at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power and godliness? - Acts 3:12

  • While Peter and John were speaking to the people, the leading priests, the captain of the Temple guard, and some of the Sadducees came over to them. - Acts 4:1

  • They were very disturbed that Peter and John were claiming, on the authority of Jesus, that there is a resurrection of the dead. - Acts 4:2

  • Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Leaders and elders of our nation, - Acts 4:8

  • The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men who had had no special training. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus. - Acts 4:13

  • So they sent Peter and John out of the council chamber* and conferred among themselves.3 - Acts 4:15

  • But Peter and John replied, "Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? - Acts 4:19

  • As soon as they were freed, Peter and John found the other believers and told them what the leading priests and elders had said. - Acts 4:23

  • Then Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. - Acts 5:3

  • Peter asked her, "Was this the price you and your husband received for your land?" "Yes," she replied, "that was the price." - Acts 5:8

  • And Peter said, "How could the two of you even think of doing a thing like this--conspiring together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Just outside that door are the young men who buried your husband, and they will carry you out, too." - Acts 5:9

  • As a result of the apostles' work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter's shadow might fall across some of them as he went by. - Acts 5:15

  • But Peter and the apostles replied, "We must obey God rather than human authority. - Acts 5:29

  • When the apostles back in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had accepted God's message, they sent Peter and John there. - Acts 8:14

  • Then Peter and John laid their hands upon these believers, and they received the Holy Spirit. - Acts 8:17

  • But Peter replied, "May your money perish with you for thinking God's gift can be bought! - Acts 8:20

  • After testifying and preaching the word of the Lord in Samaria, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem. And they stopped in many Samaritan villages along the way to preach the Good News to them, too. - Acts 8:25
