(Read Peter Part 1 First)

  • Once more he asked him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, "Lord, you know everything. You know I love you." Jesus said, "Then feed my sheep. - John 21:17

  • Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them--the one who had leaned over to Jesus during supper and asked, "Lord, who among us will betray you?" - John 21:20

  • Peter asked Jesus, "What about him, Lord?" - John 21:21

  • Then they went to the upstairs room of the house where they were staying. Here is the list of those who were present: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon (the Zealot), and Judas (son of James). - Acts 1:13

  • During this time, on a day when about 120 believers* were present, Peter stood up and addressed them as follows:4 - Acts 1:15

  • Peter continued, "This was predicted in the book of Psalms, where it says, `Let his home become desolate, with no one living in it.' And again, `Let his position be given to someone else.'*5 - Acts 1:20

  • Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, "Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this. - Acts 2:14

  • Peter's words convicted them deeply, and they said to him and to the other apostles, "Brothers, what should we do?" - Acts 2:37

  • Peter replied, "Each of you must turn from your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. - Acts 2:38

  • Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, "Save yourselves from this generation that has gone astray!" - Acts 2:40

  • Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church--about three thousand in all. - Acts 2:41

  • Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o'clock prayer service. - Acts 3:1

  • When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money. - Acts 3:3

  • Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, "Look at us!" - Acts 3:4

  • But Peter said, "I don't have any money for you. But I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!" - Acts 3:6

  • Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man's feet and anklebones were healed and strengthened. - Acts 3:7

  • They all rushed out to Solomon's Colonnade, where he was holding tightly to Peter and John. Everyone stood there in awe of the wonderful thing that had happened. - Acts 3:11
