(Read Peter Part 1 First)

  • Meanwhile, Peter followed far behind and then slipped inside the gates of the high priest's courtyard. For a while he sat with the guards, warming himself by the fire. - Mark 14:54


  • Meanwhile, Peter was below in the courtyard. One of the servant girls who worked for the high priest - Mark 14:66


  • noticed Peter warming himself at the fire. She looked at him closely and then said, "You were one of those with Jesus, the Nazarene." - Mark 14:67


  • Peter denied it. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said, and he went out into the entryway. Just then, a rooster crowed.*1 - Mark 14:68


  • Peter denied it again. A little later some other bystanders began saying to Peter, "You must be one of them because you are from Galilee." - Mark 14:70


  • Peter said, "I swear by God, I don't know this man you're talking about." - Mark 14:71


  • And immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Suddenly, Jesus' words flashed through Peter's mind: "Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times." And he broke down and cried. - Mark 14:72


  • Now go and give this message to his disciples, including Peter: Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died!" - Mark 16:7


  • The women fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, saying nothing to anyone because they were too frightened to talk.* Then they reported all these instructions briefly to Peter and his companions. Afterward Jesus himself sent them out from east to west with the sacred and unfailing message of salvation that gives eternal life. Amen.2 - Mark 16:8


  • When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, "Oh, Lord, please leave me--I'm too much of a sinner to be around you." - Luke 5:8


  • Simon (he also called him Peter), Andrew (Peter's brother), James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, - Luke 6:14


  • "Who touched me?" Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said, "Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you." - Luke 8:45


  • When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn't let anyone go in with him except Peter, James, John, and the little girl's father and mother. - Luke 8:51


  • Then he asked them, "Who do you say I am?" Peter replied, "You are the Messiah sent from God!" - Luke 9:20


  • About eight days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John to a mountain to pray. - Luke 9:28


  • Peter and the others were very drowsy and had fallen asleep. Now they woke up and saw Jesus' glory and the two men standing with him. - Luke 9:32


  • As Moses and Elijah were starting to leave, Peter, not even knowing what he was saying, blurted out, "Master, this is wonderful! We will make three shrines*--one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."1 - Luke 9:33
