  • Peter finally realized what had happened. "It's really true!" he said to himself. "The Lord has sent his angel and saved me from Herod and from what the Jews were hoping to do to me!" - Acts 12:11


  • When she recognized Peter's voice, she was so overjoyed that, instead of opening the door, she ran back inside and told everyone, "Peter is standing at the door!" - Acts 12:14


  • Meanwhile, Peter continued knocking. When they finally went out and opened the door, they were amazed. - Acts 12:16


  • At dawn, there was a great commotion among the soldiers about what had happened to Peter. - Acts 12:18


  • At the meeting, after a long discussion, Peter stood and addressed them as follows: "Brothers, you all know that God chose me from among you some time ago to preach to the Gentiles so that they could hear the Good News and believe. - Acts 15:7

  • When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile Christians, who don't bother with circumcision. But afterward, when some Jewish friends of James came, Peter wouldn't eat with the Gentiles anymore because he was afraid of what these legalists would say. - Galatians 2:12


  • Then the other Jewish Christians followed Peter's hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was influenced to join them in their hypocrisy. - Galatians 2:13
