  • O Hope of Israel, our Savior in times of trouble! Why are you like a stranger to us? Why are you like someone passing through the land, stopping only for the night? - Jeremiah 14:8


  • "I have heard these prophets say, `Listen to the dream I had from God last night.' And then they proceed to tell lies in my name. - Jeremiah 23:25


  • It is the LORD who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night. It is he who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the LORD Almighty, and this is what he says: - Jeremiah 31:35


  • "If you can break my covenant with the day and the night so that they do not come on their usual schedule, - Jeremiah 33:20


  • But this is the LORD's reply: I would no more reject my people than I would change my laws of night and day, of earth and sky. - Jeremiah 33:25

  • She sobs through the night; tears stream down her cheeks. Among all her lovers, there is no one left to help her. All her friends have betrayed her; they are now her enemies. - Lamentations 1:2


  • Cry aloud* before the Lord, O walls of Jerusalem! Let your tears flow like a river. Give yourselves no rest from weeping day or night.5 - Lamentations 2:18


  • Rise during the night and cry out. Pour out your hearts like water to the Lord. Lift up your hands to him in prayer. Plead for your children as they faint with hunger in the streets. - Lamentations 2:19


  • He has turned against me. Day and night his hand is heavy upon me. - Lamentations 3:3


  • As they watch, lift your pack to your shoulders and walk away into the night. Cover your face and don't look around. All of these actions will be a sign for the people of Israel." - Ezekiel 12:6


  • "Even Zedekiah will leave Jerusalem at night through a hole in the wall, taking only what he can carry with him. He will cover his face, and his eyes will never see his homeland again. - Ezekiel 12:12
