  • It is poor judgment to co-sign a friend's note, to become responsible for a neighbor's debts. - Proverbs 17:18


  • Evil people love to harm others; their neighbors get no mercy from them. - Proverbs 21:10


  • Do not steal your neighbor's property by moving the ancient boundary markers set up by your ancestors. - Proverbs 22:28


  • Do not testify spitefully against innocent neighbors; don't lie about them. - Proverbs 24:28


  • don't be in a hurry to go to court. You might go down before your neighbors in shameful defeat. - Proverbs 25:8


  • Don't visit your neighbors too often, or you will wear out your welcome. - Proverbs 25:17


  • Never abandon a friend--either yours or your father's. Then in your time of need, you won't have to ask your relatives for assistance. It is better to go to a neighbor than to a relative who lives far away. - Proverbs 27:10


  • If you shout a pleasant greeting to your neighbor too early in the morning, it will be counted as a curse! - Proverbs 27:14


  • Then I observed that most people are motivated to success by their envy of their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless, like chasing the wind. - Ecclesiastes 4:4
