(Read Nation Part 1 First)

  • a fierce and heartless nation that shows no respect for the old and no pity for the young. - Deuteronomy 28:50

  • For the LORD will scatter you among all the nations from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship foreign gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods made of wood and stone! - Deuteronomy 28:64

  • There among those nations you will find no place of security and rest. And the LORD will cause your heart to tremble, your eyesight to fail, and your soul to despair. - Deuteronomy 28:65

  • "Surely you remember how we lived in the land of Egypt and how we traveled through the lands of enemy nations as we left. - Deuteronomy 29:16

  • The LORD made this covenant with you so that no man, woman, family, or tribe among you would turn away from the LORD our God to worship these gods of other nations, and so that no root among you would bear bitter and poisonous fruit. - Deuteronomy 29:18

  • The surrounding nations will ask, `Why has the LORD done this to his land? Why was he so angry?' - Deuteronomy 29:24

  • "Suppose all these things happen to you--the blessings and the curses I have listed--and you meditate on them as you are living among the nations to which the LORD your God has exiled you. - Deuteronomy 30:1

  • then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes. He will have mercy on you and gather you back from all the nations where he has scattered you. - Deuteronomy 30:3

  • I have commanded you today to love the LORD your God and to keep his commands, laws, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and become a great nation, and the LORD your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy. - Deuteronomy 30:16

  • But the LORD your God himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy the nations living there, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua is your new leader, and he will go with you, just as the LORD promised. - Deuteronomy 31:3

  • The LORD will destroy the nations living in the land, just as he destroyed Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites. - Deuteronomy 31:4

  • When the Most High assigned lands to the nations, when he divided up the human race, he established the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of angelic beings.*2 - Deuteronomy 32:8

  • They have roused my jealousy by worshiping non-gods; they have provoked my fury with useless idols. Now I will rouse their jealousy by blessing other nations; I will provoke their fury by blessing the foolish Gentiles. - Deuteronomy 32:21

  • "Israel is a nation that lacks sense; the people are foolish, without understanding. - Deuteronomy 32:28

  • Joseph has the strength and majesty of a young bull; his power is like the horns of a wild ox. He will gore distant nations, driving them to the ends of the earth. This is my blessing for the multitudes of Ephraim and the thousands of Manasseh." - Deuteronomy 33:17

  • He did this so that all the nations of the earth might know the power of the LORD, and that you might fear the LORD your God forever." - Joshua 4:24

  • I have allotted to you as an inheritance all the land of the nations yet unconquered, as well as the land of those we have already conquered--from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea* in the west.1 - Joshua 23:4
