(Read Nation Part 1 First)

  • "Why has Israel become a nation of slaves? Why has she been carried away as plunder? - Jeremiah 2:14

  • In despair, you will be led into exile with your hands on your heads, for the LORD has rejected the nations you trust. You will not succeed despite their help. - Jeremiah 2:37

  • In that day Jerusalem will be known as The Throne of the LORD. All nations will come there to honor the LORD. They will no longer stubbornly follow their own evil desires. - Jeremiah 3:17

  • and if you will swear by my name alone, and begin to live good, honest lives and uphold justice, then you will be a blessing to the nations of the world, and all people will come and praise my name." - Jeremiah 4:2

  • A lion stalks from its den, a destroyer of nations. And it is headed for your land! Your towns will lie in ruins, empty of people. - Jeremiah 4:7

  • "Warn the surrounding nations and announce to Jerusalem: `The enemy is coming from a distant land, raising a battle cry against the towns of Judah. - Jeremiah 4:16

  • Should I not punish them for this?" asks the LORD. "Should I not avenge myself against a nation such as this? - Jeremiah 5:9

  • O Israel, I will bring a distant nation against you," says the LORD. "It is a mighty nation, an ancient nation, a people whose language you do not know, whose speech you cannot understand. - Jeremiah 5:15

  • Should I not punish them for this?" asks the LORD. "Should I not avenge myself against a nation such as this? - Jeremiah 5:29

  • "Run for your lives, you people of Benjamin! Flee from Jerusalem! Sound the alarm in Tekoa! Send up a signal at Beth-hakkerem! Warn everyone that a powerful army is coming from the north to destroy this nation. - Jeremiah 6:1

  • "Therefore, listen to this, all you nations. Take note of my people's condition. - Jeremiah 6:18

  • This is what the LORD says: "See a great army marching from the north! A great nation is rising against you from far-off lands. - Jeremiah 6:22

  • Say to them, `This is the nation whose people will not obey the LORD their God and who refuse to be taught. Truth has vanished from among them; it is no longer heard on their lips. - Jeremiah 7:28

  • And the people of this evil nation who survive will wish to die rather than live where I will send them. I, the LORD Almighty, have spoken! - Jeremiah 8:3

  • Should I not punish them for this?" asks the LORD. "Should I not avenge myself against a nation such as this?" - Jeremiah 9:9

  • the Egyptians, Edomites, Ammonites, Moabites, the people who live in distant places,* and yes, even the people of Judah. Like all these pagan nations, the people of Israel also have uncircumcised hearts."2 - Jeremiah 9:26

  • This is what the LORD says: "Do not act like other nations who try to read their future in the stars. Do not be afraid of their predictions, even though other nations are terrified by them. - Jeremiah 10:2
