(Read Nation Part 1 First)

  • He did what was evil in the LORD's sight, imitating the detestable practices of the pagan nations whom the LORD had driven from the land ahead of the Israelites. - 2 Kings 21:2

  • But the people refused to listen, and Manasseh led them to do even more evil than the pagan nations whom the LORD had destroyed when the Israelites entered the land. - 2 Kings 21:9

  • It was the descendants of Judah that became the most powerful tribe and provided a ruler for the nation,* but the birthright belonged to Joseph.2 - 1 Chronicles 5:2

  • But they were unfaithful and violated their covenant with the God of their ancestors. They worshiped the gods of the nations that God had destroyed. - 1 Chronicles 5:25

  • So David's fame spread everywhere, and the LORD caused all the nations to fear David. - 1 Chronicles 14:17

  • They wandered back and forth between nations, from one kingdom to another. - 1 Chronicles 16:20

  • Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. - 1 Chronicles 16:24

  • The gods of other nations are merely idols, but the LORD made the heavens! - 1 Chronicles 16:26

  • O nations of the world, recognize the LORD, recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong. - 1 Chronicles 16:28

  • Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations that the LORD is king. - 1 Chronicles 16:31

  • Cry out, "Save us, O God of our salvation! Gather and rescue us from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you." - 1 Chronicles 16:35

  • And I have provided a permanent homeland for my people Israel, a secure place where they will never be disturbed. It will be their own land where wicked nations won't oppress them as they did in the past, - 1 Chronicles 17:9

  • What other nation on earth is like Israel? What other nation, O God, have you redeemed from slavery to be your own people? You made a great name for yourself when you rescued your people from Egypt. You performed awesome miracles and drove out the nations that stood in their way. - 1 Chronicles 17:21

  • King David dedicated all these gifts to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had taken from the other nations he had subdued--Edom, Moab, Ammon, Philistia, and Amalek. - 1 Chronicles 18:11

  • "The LORD your God is with you," he declared. "He has given you peace with the surrounding nations. He has handed them over to me, and they are now subject to the LORD and his people. - 1 Chronicles 22:18

  • The various divisions of priests and Levites will serve in the Temple of God. Others with skills of every kind will volunteer, and the leaders and the entire nation are at your command." - 1 Chronicles 28:21

  • And the LORD exalted Solomon so the entire nation of Israel stood in awe of him, and he gave Solomon even greater wealth and honor than his father. - 1 Chronicles 29:25
