(Read Nation Part 1 First)

  • I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will use other nations to punish him. - 2 Samuel 7:14

  • What other nation on earth is like Israel? What other nation, O God, have you redeemed from slavery to be your own people? You made a great name for yourself when you rescued your people from Egypt. You performed awesome miracles and drove out the nations and gods that stood in their way. - 2 Samuel 7:23

  • King David dedicated all these gifts to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had set apart from the other nations he had subdued-- - 2 Samuel 8:11

  • The leaders of the nation pleaded with him to get up and eat with them, but he refused. - 2 Samuel 12:17

  • So King David summoned the Gibeonites. They were not part of Israel but were all that was left of the nation of the Amorites. Israel had sworn not to kill them, but Saul, in his zeal, had tried to wipe them out. - 2 Samuel 21:2

  • "You gave me victory over my accusers. You preserved me as the ruler over nations; people I don't even know now serve me. - 2 Samuel 22:44

  • He is the God who pays back those who harm me; he subdues the nations under me - 2 Samuel 22:48

  • For this, O LORD, I will praise you among the nations; I will sing joyfully to your name. - 2 Samuel 22:50

  • So the LORD sent a plague upon Israel that morning, and it lasted for three days. Seventy thousand people died throughout the nation. - 2 Samuel 24:15

  • And here I am among your own chosen people, a nation so great they are too numerous to count! - 1 Kings 3:8

  • Give me an understanding mind so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great nation of yours?" - 1 Kings 3:9

  • He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite and Heman, Calcol, and Darda--the sons of Mahol. His fame spread throughout all the surrounding nations. - 1 Kings 4:31

  • And kings from every nation sent their ambassadors to listen to the wisdom of Solomon. - 1 Kings 4:34

  • "You know that my father, David, was not able to build a Temple to honor the name of the LORD his God because of the many wars he waged with surrounding nations. He could not build until the LORD gave him victory over all his enemies. - 1 Kings 5:3

  • When Hiram received Solomon's message, he was very pleased and said, "Praise the LORD for giving David a wise son to be king of the great nation of Israel." - 1 Kings 5:7

  • For when you brought our ancestors out of Egypt, O Sovereign LORD, you told your servant Moses that you had separated Israel from among all the nations of the earth to be your own special possession." - 1 Kings 8:53

  • then I will uproot the people of Israel from this land I have given them. I will reject this Temple that I have set apart to honor my name. I will make Israel an object of mockery and ridicule among the nations. - 1 Kings 9:7
