  • When Jehu entered the gate of the palace, she shouted at him, "Have you come in peace, you murderer? You are just like Zimri, who murdered his master!" - 2 Kings 9:31

  • But Ahaziah's sister Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram,* took Ahaziah's infant son, Joash, and stole him away from among the rest of the king's children, who were about to be killed. Jehosheba put Joash and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah, so the child was not murdered.1 - 2 Kings 11:2

  • Manasseh also murdered many innocent people until Jerusalem was filled from one end to the other with innocent blood. This was in addition to the sin that he caused the people of Judah to commit, leading them to do evil in the LORD's sight. - 2 Kings 21:16

  • Whenever a case comes to you from fellow citizens in an outlying town, whether a murder case or some other violation of God's instructions, commands, laws, or regulations, you must warn them not to sin against the LORD, so that his anger will not come against you and them. Do this and you will not be guilty. - 2 Chronicles 19:10

  • The Arameans withdrew, leaving Joash severely wounded. But his own officials decided to kill him for murdering the son of Jehoiada the priest. They assassinated him as he lay in bed. Then he was buried in the City of David, but not in the royal cemetery. - 2 Chronicles 24:25

  • Protect me from wicked people who attack me, from murderous enemies who surround me. - Psalms 17:9

  • Don't let me suffer the fate of sinners. Don't condemn me along with murderers. - Psalms 26:9

  • Murder and robbery are everywhere there; threats and cheating are rampant in the streets. - Psalms 55:11

  • But you, O God, will send the wicked down to the pit of destruction. Murderers and liars will die young, but I am trusting you to save me. - Psalms 55:23

  • Rescue me from these criminals; save me from these murderers. - Psalms 59:2
