  • One day as the crowds were gathering, Jesus went up the mountainside with his disciples and sat down to teach them. - Matthew 5:1


  • You are the light of the world--like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. - Matthew 5:14


  • Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. - Matthew 8:1


  • Six days later Jesus took Peter and the two brothers, James and John, and led them up a high mountain. - Matthew 17:1


  • As they descended the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen until I, the Son of Man, have been raised from the dead." - Matthew 17:9


  • When they arrived at the foot of the mountain, a huge crowd was waiting for them. A man came and knelt before Jesus and said, - Matthew 17:14


  • "You didn't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I assure you, even if you had faith as small as a mustard seed you could say to this mountain, `Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."*3 - Matthew 17:20


  • Then Jesus told them, "I assure you, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, `May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,' and it will happen. - Matthew 21:21


  • Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. - Matthew 28:16


  • Afterward Jesus went up on a mountain and called the ones he wanted to go with him. And they came to him. - Mark 3:13


  • Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John to the top of a mountain. No one else was there. As the men watched, Jesus' appearance changed, - Mark 9:2


  • As they descended the mountainside, he told them not to tell anyone what they had seen until he, the Son of Man, had risen from the dead. - Mark 9:9


  • At the foot of the mountain they found a great crowd surrounding the other disciples, as some teachers of religious law were arguing with them. - Mark 9:14


  • I assure you that you can say to this mountain, `May God lift you up and throw you into the sea,' and your command will be obeyed. All that's required is that you really believe and do not doubt in your heart. - Mark 11:23


  • Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills! Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places!4 - Luke 3:5


  • One day soon afterward Jesus went to a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night. - Luke 6:12


  • When they came down the slopes of the mountain, the disciples stood with Jesus on a large, level area, surrounded by many of his followers and by the crowds. There were people from all over Judea and from Jerusalem and from as far north as the seacoasts of Tyre and Sidon. - Luke 6:17
