(Read Moses Part 1 First)

  • They want to be known as teachers of the law of Moses, but they don't know what they are talking about, even though they seem so confident. - 1 Timothy 1:7

  • And these teachers fight the truth just as Jannes and Jambres fought against Moses. Their minds are depraved, and their faith is counterfeit. - 2 Timothy 3:8

  • For he was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses served faithfully and was entrusted with God's entire house. - Hebrews 3:2

  • But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a fine house deserves more praise than the house itself. - Hebrews 3:3

  • Moses was certainly faithful in God's house, but only as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. - Hebrews 3:5

  • And who were those people who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Weren't they the ones Moses led out of Egypt? - Hebrews 3:16

  • Now the priests, who are descendants of Levi, are commanded in the law of Moses to collect a tithe from all the people, even though they are their own relatives.*1 - Hebrews 7:5

  • What I mean is, our Lord came from the tribe of Judah, and Moses never mentioned Judah in connection with the priesthood. - Hebrews 7:14

  • For after Moses had given the people all of God's laws, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, and sprinkled both the book of God's laws and all the people, using branches of hyssop bushes and scarlet wool. - Hebrews 9:19

The sacrifices under the old system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship. - Hebrews 10:1

  • Christ said, "You did not want animal sacrifices or grain offerings or animals burned on the altar or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them" (though they are required by the law of Moses). - Hebrews 10:8
