  • When Moses reported the LORD's words to the Israelites, there was much sorrow among the people. - Numbers 14:39


  • But Moses said, "Why are you now disobeying the LORD's orders to return to the wilderness? It won't work. - Numbers 14:41


  • But the people pushed ahead toward the hill country of Canaan, despite the fact that neither Moses nor the Ark of the LORD's covenant left the camp. - Numbers 14:44


  • The LORD told Moses to give these instructions to the people of Israel: - Numbers 15:1


  • The LORD also said to Moses at this time, - Numbers 15:17


  • "But suppose some of you unintentionally fail to carry out all these commands that the LORD has given you through Moses. - Numbers 15:22


  • And suppose some of your descendants in the future fail to do everything the LORD has commanded through Moses. - Numbers 15:23


  • He was apprehended and taken before Moses, Aaron, and the rest of the community. - Numbers 15:33


  • Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must be put to death! The whole community must stone him outside the camp." - Numbers 15:35


  • So the whole community took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. - Numbers 15:36


  • And the LORD said to Moses, - Numbers 15:37


  • They incited a rebellion against Moses, involving 250 other prominent leaders, all members of the assembly. - Numbers 16:2


  • They went to Moses and Aaron and said, "You have gone too far! Everyone in Israel has been set apart by the LORD, and he is with all of us. What right do you have to act as though you are greater than anyone else among all these people of the LORD?" - Numbers 16:3


  • When Moses heard what they were saying, he threw himself down with his face to the ground. - Numbers 16:4


  • Then Moses spoke again to Korah: "Now listen, you Levites! - Numbers 16:8


  • Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they replied, "We refuse to come! - Numbers 16:12


  • Then Moses became very angry and said to the LORD, "Do not accept their offerings! I have not taken so much as a donkey from them, and I have never hurt a single one of them." - Numbers 16:15
