(Read Money Part 1 First)

  • The next year they came again and said, "Our money is gone, and our livestock are yours. We have nothing left but our bodies and land. - Genesis 47:18

  • "If someone's bull injures a neighbor's bull and the injured bull dies, then the two owners must sell the live bull and divide the money between them. Each will also own half of the dead bull. - Exodus 21:35

  • But if the bull was known from past experience to gore, yet its owner failed to keep it under control, the money will not be divided. The owner of the living bull must pay in full for the dead bull but then gets to keep it. - Exodus 21:36

  • "Suppose someone entrusts money or goods to a neighbor, and they are stolen from the neighbor's house. If the thief is found, the fine is double the value of what was stolen. - Exodus 22:7

  • But if her father refuses to let her marry him, the man must still pay the money for her dowry. - Exodus 22:17

  • "If you lend money to a fellow Hebrew in need, do not be like a money lender, charging interest. - Exodus 22:25

  • Use this money for the care of the Tabernacle.* It will bring you, the Israelites, to the LORD's attention, and it will make atonement for your lives."4 - Exodus 30:16

  • "Evil people may have all the money in the world, and they may store away mounds of clothing. - Job 27:16

  • But the righteous will wear that clothing, and the innocent will divide all that money. - Job 27:17

  • Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you out to preach the Good News and you did not have money, a traveler's bag, or extra clothing, did you lack anything?" "No," they replied. - Luke 22:35

  • "But now," he said, "take your money and a traveler's bag. And if you don't have a sword, sell your clothes and buy one! - Luke 22:36

  • "After several years away, I returned to Jerusalem with money to aid my people and to offer sacrifices to God. - Acts 24:17

  • However, if the priest buys slaves with his own money, they may eat of his food. And if his slaves have children, they also may share his food. - Leviticus 22:11

  • If there is no one to redeem the land but the person who sold it manages to get enough money to buy it back, - Leviticus 25:26

  • Do not demand an advance or charge interest on the money you lend them. Instead, show your fear of God by letting them live with you as your relatives. - Leviticus 25:36

  • Remember, do not charge your relatives interest on anything you lend them, whether money or food. - Leviticus 25:37

  • an uncle, a nephew, or anyone else who is closely related. They may also redeem themselves if they can get the money. - Leviticus 25:49
